Folly Inside Out
2020
Entry for a Folly design competition in France
The folly rises above ground level like a watchtower on her guard for what is to come. Consisting of four main volumes that interlock like links, this folly as a whole form a close-knit community.
Because of the comforting closeness, they look inviting and stimulate the imagination to discover the possibilities of use. A special surprise awaits the visitor during the discovery of the folly.
The volumes seem randomly linked but they are not, they offer the possibility to climb through the four volumes in eight steps. A movement from inside to outside to the highest point.
